Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

Call, email, or text to schedule an appointment, let us know what your pet's medical concern is (itchy skin, stinky ears, difficulty walking, annual vaccines, etc) and we will come to you. We will treat your pet(s) at your home and issue any necessary documentation (health certificates, rabies tags (ONLY Miami-Dade County) and certificate, death certificates, etc). If lab samples are collected for submission to the lab when the results become available we will call you to discuss them and make further recommendations.

Do you accept Care Credit, Insurance Plans or Installment Payments?

We are now accepting care credit (www.CareCredit.com)in order to offer our clients better financing options. Click the link to the right to apply for Care Credit if you do not already have the card. When you schedule an appointment with us, please let us know that you are interested in paying with care credit.

For most insurance plans we can file the necessary documentation to help you get your claim submitted, just make sure you discuss this with us prior to the rendition of services.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, checks, care credit and cash as forms of payment. Pricing is discussed with you upfront, if you agree to the services then payment is collected upon rendition of services unless another option has been discussed and decided upon before hand. (We do not accept payment in the form of fish, favors, food stamps, alcohol, horses, puppies, or fruits......you know who you are.)

With how much time in advance do I need to schedule an appointment?

Appointments fill up fairly quickly and we are usually booked a week in advance, but give us a call and we will see if we still have availability and will work hard to get you scheduled. There is no guarantee that we will be able to give you an appointment the same day, though we will try very hard to do so, please keep this in mind.

My brother lives one block away and he wants an appointment to see his dog too, can you do that and how much will you charge us both?

We can certainly do that! As far as pricing structure, if you have other friends, family members, neighbors, frienemies, etc that live close and want a price break we recommend you invite them over and then you guys can split the travel fee among you all. However, if we have to pack up and drive, even if it is to your next-door neighbors house, that would be a separate travel fee for each.

For Example:

If you are planning a Pet-A-Paloosa block party where the whole block is meeting up at Pepe's house for pet vaccines, chips, and drinks that would be one travel fee divided among everybody. However, if Tia Nena does not want to load Pelusa into the car and drive one street over to join the party, Tia Nena will be charged a separate travel fee for Pelusa. (Thank you Fernando and the block for this real life example.)

Would you approve an order from 1800 Pet Meds, Dr. Fosters and Smith, and other online pharmacies?

Sure we would!  If, we have seen your pet in the last year, your pet is up to date on what it needs to have that order filled (heartworm test negative if requesting heartworm prevention meds), it's appropriate for your pet, etc. If requesting meds give us 1 week to complete your request and also text us letting us know you've placed an order. Include your name, pet's name, the medication and the online pharmacy you used to order. Also, keep in mind that we will price match most major pharmacies and mail out the product to you directly or it can be picked up at one of our vaccine clinics.

Clear as mud.

We hope these Frequently Asked Questions were helpful, if there is something you think we should add or that needs clarification please do not hesitate to let us know.
